A somewhat biased view on China…
The Red Ball Summer Challenge 2007 - Division 1 of Red Ball’s 5-a-side football leagues for amateur and corporate teams - just started last Monday and the Beijing Buffalos are in 3rd position!
Another good news from Red Ball Football Club: Business as usual.
Dispite rumours of soon-to-be-’chai’-ed, the Football complex and our neighbours remain open. (for those who do not know, chai (拆) is the chinese character written on the building that have to be destroyed…)

Some of you asked me for this since I moved in my new appartment back in February. Here is the view I have from my appartment when facing East! Click on the picture for a bigger image.
That’it! The Beijing Buffalos won their first tournament wathsoever! The prestigious Strictly Amateur Cup! I will try to get a picture of the Winner Cup to show you.
Our next challenge starts on the 21st of May with the Summer Challenge Cup. As you see, we leave the strictly amateur division. So, do not hesitate to come at Red Ball on the 21st to support us!

The Strictly Amateur Cup is going on and the Beijing Buffalos are doing great! Next Thrsday, we play against the HHH and the Mexico Team. We have to win both game to go back to first position, guys!
Another good news is that the RedBall Football Clube invited the Beijing Buffalos to join their 1st birthday tournament this Saturday! It starts at 14:00 and will last until nobody is around… I would say really late, then…

After we lost the last Winter Challenge Tournament at Red Ball, we decided to register for the new Strictly Amateur Cup. No Big Price for this tournament but One free draught beer for all the players after the game!
The good news is that we are in second position so far. The bad news is that the tournament’s schedule is crazy!!! According to this schedule, we will have to play 2 games on the 3rd of May??? During the May holiday! I hope MR. W - our captain - will do something and contact the organizers ASAP…

Olivier, Jose and me are back from our expedition on the Huvsgul Lake in the North of Mongolia. Here are some pictures. I will upload more of them and provide a slideshow soon…
Here is an update on the temperature in Hatgal, city just in the South of Hatgal where we are going… this Friday!!! Well, we are leaving Beijing this Friday and will most probably arrive at Hatgal on Monday 19…
As you can see, it’s much warmer than in January but still cold enough for the lake to be frozen.
Third week of the tournament!
Our Goal Keeper was sick and I replaced him… :-S
Because of that, we are now 5th of our group, just after Napolimania. So, we MUST beat them next Monday in order to go back to our 4th position!
Let’s hope Nicolas, our outstanding Goal Keeper, will recover soon. With him on the pitch we will definitely make it to the next round!
