A somewhat biased view on China…
Since yesterday, I can administrate the email users using…. GMail! They opened the GMail for your domain beta and I managed to get in!
This means that when you get a blog or website on http://todayinchina.com, I can provide you a personal todayinchina email address that you access using exactly the same interface as your GMail addresses if you have some.
By the way, Today in China is now hosting more and more personal blogs and websites… and we still have 4 slots open for free China related Personal Blogs!
Personal blogs
Thierry - This guy has been working in China for more than 4 years and provides a flow of interesting or funny news about China. The content of his blog is somewhat biased and considered by some as too much optimistic about the situation in China… Hey! That’s me!!! aaargh!!!!
Emilie - She has been here in Beijing for one year and share with us her day-to-day life in China. She is also the person who started the Theatre des Lanternes!
Valentine - Probably the youngest blogger in the whole Greater China with only 18 months old. As soon as her mother gives her some free time, she will jump to her computer and tell us how easy or difficult it is to be a 18 months old girl in Beijing!
Xiaobudian - Xiabudian(er) is a nice beijing cat - hence the ‘er’ - sharing her appartment with Stinky (the American Cat), Nicky (the Pomeranian dog) and their Human. She always wanted to have a place of her own on the Internet and last week was a good time to start! After a motorbike accident, the Human had to stay at home to rest her foot and had some time to spend on this… So here you go, I let Xiaobudian explaining to you all the details!!!
Laurence - Laurence is coming from Switzerland and wants to share with us what it means to live in Beijing today with a kid. However, I recently read on her blog that she will probably move to Singapore really soon. That will be interesting to have her point of view on Singapore versus Beijing!
Hutong to Highrise - Carrie started the project Hutong to Highrise a year ago. The objective is to document the changes occurring in Beijing by using the Photovoice Research Technique. They hope to learn more about hutong dwellers and see the world through their eyes by giving them cameras and the means to document what is important to them. Taking the camera out of the hands of the observer and putting it into the hands of the subject helps the observer to see the world as it is through the eyes of the subject. Using local people’s perspective is what makes their project unique.
