A somewhat biased view on China…
As some of you know, I’m working part time for a French journalist in Beijing. He started publishing his newsletter 10 years ago and I started to help him for his website back in 2000!
I’m in the process of making the new Search Engine officially online on Thursday. Before this, I would like to ask you some help to beta test it!
The new Engine is faster than the previous one, accepts AND and OR requests and allows the user to refine his search based on the type of documents - editorial, news, politics, money, joint-ventures, agenda and social - and the date - year and the issue numbering. You may also specify keywords that must ‘+’ or cannot ‘-’ be in the search results. For example, searching for “sras jiang -hu” as an AND search will return papers about how Jiang Zemin handled the SRAS epidemia but not related to Hu Jintao.
All the archive is available for free except for the last 20 issues for which only the editorial is free.
And, well, I’m sorry for the English speaking people around; his newsletter is written in French…
Update
The new Search Engine is now officially online!
I went to the conference yesterday. It was quite interesting. Erice Meyer told made a speech about the situation in China with a strong focus on the actions of Hu Jintao and how the Chinese President tries to improve the links between China and the Western Countries.
