Chinese movies at Venice Film Festival

This year’s Venice Film Festival will started with a Chinese Martial Arts movie from Hong Kong. ‘Seven Swords’ (??), produced by Tsui Hark (??), tells the story of seven unexpected heroes that gather to save a village from a diabolical General. Tsui Hark describes his movie as an homage to Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 classic ‘Seven Samurai’. Tsui Hark is famous for his movies about Wong Fei-hung, the legendary martial arts hero fighting foreign forces on one side and protecting his westernized aunt coming back from the States on the other side.

And this will not be the only Chinese movie to be shown during the festival! There will also be:
